Add a high-end Gift Note

So what are High-end gift notes? When an invoice is printed, the standard gift note from Shopify is automatically printed on the invoice.  However, clients may want a "higher-end" more personalized experience.  Brandfox has the solution!! We now offer a "High-end" personalized gift card.  For an additional charge, Brandfox can on-demand print a full color 4 x 6 photo paper quality gift card based upon a template of your design.  

Template Design

We support a full-color background template (PNG with a resolution of 300 dpi - 1800 x 1200 px).  You can now select the gift message to use any google font in the hex color of your choosing.  Up to 300 characters can be added to further personalize your gift message.  Feel free to contact your client success manager for more information on this amazing new opportunity.

Add to Shopify Store

Adding a custom gift card to your Shopify store is easy.  You must first create an SKU that triggers the workflow.  Shopify provides a tutorial on how to add this to the checkout process.  This tutorial is based upon adding gift wrapping but can be adapted for the printed gift card.

Once this SKU is set up, you would then notify your client success manager to have an automation rule set up to trigger the custom gift card workflow.  Once complete, a test order can be created to generate proofs.  At this time, we only support one card template per client.

Workflow

Now you are all set up!! So how does it work? Orders with the custom gift printed cards follow a different workflow than normal pick and pack orders.  Once picked, they are locked to an additional stop at a customization station.  At this station, the gift card is printed by scanning the order's tote.  The gift note is added to the tote and the order is marked that the customization is complete.  The order can then proceed to the packing process. and will ship out like all other orders.

Billing

The custom printed gift card will appear on your billing statement differently than the normal pick and pack charges.  It will appear as Custom Gift Card Fee and will not have a normal pick fee associated with it.
