How to Enable Amazon's New API On Your Store


Amazon is deprecating their Marketplace Web Service API, which we use to interact with Seller Central.

The deprecation process will span a few months, but our integration to your store needs to be migrated to the new Selling Partner API to keep working.

How to Migrate

The process to enable the new API is very straightforward.

Steps

  1. Navigate to My Account > Stores.
  2. Click on the Enable new API button for your listed Amazon store. You will be redirected to a Seller Central page.

    Note: If you cannot see the reconnect option, the migration may have not yet been rolled out to your account. You will be prompted visibly to reconnect once it has.

  3. Authorize the new ShipHero app.
  4. Once all of your stores are migrated, the notification about the migration on the top of the page should disappear.

Should I migrate during off-hours?

Our advice is to migrate at your earliest convenience.

Enabling the new API will not immediately switch your connection to the new API. We will be switching accounts to use the new API in controlled groups, which we will monitor.
