DHL eCommerce Fuel Charges

Shipping with DHL eCommerce in ShipHero is easy, and for greater accuracy, the fuel surcharge for both domestic and international shipments is added to quoted rates. The surcharges are updated monthly from DHL eCommerce's live rates. These can be found at DHL Published Fuel Surcharges. 

The fuel surcharges are calculated on a rounded-off, per-pound basis.  So if you have a shipment that weighs 1.5 pounds, you will be charged for 2 pounds of fuel. There is an exception for fuel rates of packages that weigh under a pound. DHL charges per grouped weight for all parcel services under a pound.  So if you have 2 packages that are at 0.5 pounds each, DHL will only charge for 1 pound of fuel. For this reason, ShipHero does not display fuel costs for shipments that weigh under a pound.
